This morning you will travel out to the Agrodome. See the world’s longest running farm show, visit the Woollen Mill and watch the Sheep Dog Trials - very entertaining and popular with all age groups.

We then visit the Whakarewarewa Living Maori Village and the Pohutu Geyser. Your Maori guide will take you on a village tour which includes a cultural concert and food cooked in the traditional way. This afternoon is at leisure to relax or enjoy one of the many optional tours (own cost). We can pre-book these activities for you at great rates!

Tonight you will experience New Zealand’s Supreme Award winning cultural show at the Tamaki Maori Village. Enjoy the traditional food (hangi), cultural activities, tribal songs, myths & legends, poi dances and of course, the Haka!

1: Agrodome Farm Show & Woollen Mill
The Agrodome Sheep Show is a one-hour, multi-award winning performance that is both exciting and informative, providing insight into agriculture in New Zealand. Presented in a specially designed auditorium, you will see nineteen sheep breeds introduced onto the stage, the art of sheep shearing, sheepdog demonstrations, cow milking, bottle feed lambs and an exciting sheep auction. Audience participation is a major part of the show and is popular with all age groups.  You will have a number of opportunities to walk around amongst the animals and feed sheep, cattle, deer, alpaca, ostrich, emus by hand. Included in the tour is a visit to the Woollen Mill and 100% pure organic orchard which produces kiwifruit, olives, feijoas and apples. This stop at the Organic Orchard includes a sample of kiwifruit wine and honey.
 
2: Whakarewarewa Maori Village Tour
Set amidst a landscape of erupting geothermal activity, hot thermal springs and hot bubbling mud pools is the Living Maori Village of Whakarewarewa. Discover the unique lifestyle and traditions of the Maori and learn how they have come to live in harmony within this unique environment.You will do some steam box cooking and enjoy delicous corn cobs and sausages coooked in boiling pools. The guided tour concludes with an entertaining cultural performance, thrilling your senses with their melodious voices accompanied by hand movements, telling the stories of the Maori heritage, past and present.
 
3: Tamaki Maori Village Cultural Show & Hangi Feast
Travel out on a special Maori Bus for dinner and show in the bush. This is New Zealand’s only 'Supreme Award' winning Cultural Show, a journey back in time to pre European lifestyles, customs and traditions. See the people of the village, working their crafts and honing their fighting skills. Enjoy the cultural activities, tribal songs, myths, legends, poi dances, traditional hangi feast and of course, the Haka! Enjoy the magic ‘Waka’ journey with the tribal crew and their after-show unique entertainment activity.  It is a great fun night out and you will enjoy every minute of your time here.

4: Lakeland Queen Paddle Steamer Cruise
The Lakeland Queen is a genuine stern wheel driven paddle steamer designed with the famous Mississippi River Cruisers in mind. While gently cruising Lake Rotorua, you can enjoy a delicious A La Carte or buffet lunch; taking in spectacular views of the city, mystical Mokoia Island and other Rotorua landmarks. There is plenty of time to enjoy a coffee or tea and some lovely sweet treats after your sumptuous lunch before arriving back an hour later at the Lakefront. This really is an experience not to be missed! Departs at 1.00pm daily and returns at 2.00pm.
 
5: Rainbow Springs and Kiwi Encounter
Breathe deeply and take in the native bush, ferns, trees and plants that grow and flower all around you as you wander through the tree lined pathways at Rainbow Springs. Marvel at the tranquility of the crystal clear springs, the many variety of trout and the bustling bush wildlife, as you discover the conservation efforts undertaken here to ensure the longevity of New Zealand's native flora and fauna.  See the native and very timid Kiwi foraging for food in a closely simulated natural environment, and go back at night time to view them up close in an open-air enclosure under the stars. Open from 8am till late.
 
6: Rotorua Duck Land and Lake Tour
Ride in a genuine World War II (DWK) amphibian vehicle. Known as the Rotorua Duck, it is a fun way to see the city sights. Learn the history and the legends as you enjoy a 90 minute scheduled Rotorua City & Lakes Tour, exploring Rotorua's most famous lakes and landmarks, including splashdown' onto two lakes, geothermal activity, Maori Culture, history of Rotorua and Mount Tarawera.  Open from 8am to 8pm.
 
7: Lake Tarawera 4WD Volcanic Tour
If you enjoy walking you will love this tour.  Departing from Rotorua at 8.00am and 1.00pm daily, you will be driven 40kms through picturesque rural farmland and past the largest man-made forest in New Zealand, Kaingaroa Forest, to the base of Mt Tarawera Volcano. Travel by 4WD vehicle 10kms up to the edge of the massive craters. Enjoy a short crater walk or hike to the summit at 1111 meters. Your experienced local guide will give commentary on Maori Legend, History and Volcanology. You may even catch a glimpse of some of the rare and unique wildlife in their natural habitat. Sturdy footwear and warm clothing essential.  Tour time approx 4.5hrs and must be pre-booked.
 
8: Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland
Wai-O-Tapu translates to 'Sacred Waters', and a visit to this stunning  geothermal wonderland will astound you! Visitors can walk at their own pace and absorb the unique features including the world famous champagne pool, geysers, bubbling mud, steaming ground, expansive vistas, huge volcanic craters and sinter terrace formations. The natural bush setting adds another dimension to the experience as does the guaranteed daily eruption of the Lady Knox Geyser at 10.15am.  Opening hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm (last admission 3.45pm).
 
9: Hells Gate Geothermal Tour
Stroll through the amazing, steaming, bubbling thermal park, see mud pools hot springs and experience a taste of Maori culture.  Visit the day spa, soak in hot pools, enjoy a Rotorua mud facial or massage incorporating traditional Maori techniques. Visitors can also participate in a number of 'hands on" activities, including wood carving, traditional weaving and tatto (moko) face painting.  You will leave this place wanting more!  Open from 10am to 5pm daily (closed Christmas Day).
 
10: Off Road Adventure Experience
Adventurous travellers may like to test their driving skills at Off Road NZ. This is the ultimate 4WD adventure, the first of its kind in New Zealand. Pair up in one of their 4WDs and share the driving as you negotiate the challenging trail set amongst beautiful native rain forest. Conquer your fear as you slowly manoeuvre your 4WD through a variety of challenges for drivers of all abilities. The adventure takes around 1 hour and must be pre-booked.
 
11: Skyline Gondola
Set high on the side of Mount Ngongotaha with extensive views of Rotorua city, Lake Rotorua, geothermal areas and surrounding hinterlands, Skyline Skyrides provides the ideal venue for a day of family fun, a romantic evening for two or a event with that all important wow factor.  Take the Gondola Cableway up the mountain, relax in the Terraces Cafe, soak up the spectacular views and enjoy night dining in the Cableway Restaurant and Bar.  Take a luge ride down the mountain or see Rotorua from another angle with HeliPro scenic flights (must be pre-booked).
