At Ngaruawahia you will travel past Taurangawaiwai - home of the Maori king. Continue through rich dairy lands stopping for lunch en-route to Waitomo Caves. Experience the amazing limestone formations, the cathedral cave and stalagmites and stalactites. The tour includes a magical boat trip under a canopy of sparkling glow worms.

Cross the Mamaku Ranges before descending into Rotorua, New Zealand’s thermal wonderland and centre of Maoridom. On arrival, your coach captain will take you on an orientation tour. Your hotel for the next two nights is located next to the famous Government Gardens and the Polynesian Spa Pools and is only a short distance from Rotorua’s Tutanekai ‘Eat’ Street.

2: Waitomo Caves Tour & Boat Ride
The Waitomo glowworm is unique to New Zealand. Thousands of these tiny creatures radiate their unmistakable luminescent light as expert guides provide informative commentary on the Caves' historical and geological significance. Marvel at the spectacular Glowworm Cave with its majestic and ornate cave decorations, including the magnificent Cathedral cavern where New Zealand's own opera diva, Kiri Te Kanawa, once performed. Your tour guide will deliver an informative and entertaining commentary, sharing stories, cultural legends and the natural wonders of this living masterpiece. Your visit concludes with a brief, yet remarkably moving, boat trip through the Glowworm Grotto.  This tour is educational, fascinating and very memorable.
 
3: Sightseeing tour of Rotorua
On arrival in Rotorua, your coach captain will take you on an orientation tour of the "Sulphur City", with it's pungent aroma that serves as a reminder of the geothermal activity and beneficial minerals provided by Mother Nature.  The hot pools here are renowned for their therapeutic benefits, particularly in the treatment of athritis and general aches and pains.  Drive past the historic Bath House, the Government Gardens, the beautiful lakefront and Maori Villages, which you will visit during your stay in this unique city and centre of Maoridom.

Set high on the side of Mount Ngongotaha with extensive views of Rotorua city, Lake Rotorua, geothermal areas and surrounding hinterlands, Skyline Skyrides provides the ideal venue for a day of family fun, a romantic evening for two or a event with that all important wow factor.  Take the Gondola Cableway up the mountain, relax in the Terraces Cafe, soak up the spectacular views and enjoy night dining in the Cableway Restaurant and Bar.  Take a luge ride down the mountain or see Rotorua from another angle with HeliPro scenic flights (must be pre-booked).
