2: Shotover Jet
Shotover Jet – a thrilling jet-boat ride on the Shotover River (not for the faint-hearted but suitable for all ages), highly recommended. Must be pre-booked prior to departure.
 
3: Walter Peak High Country Station
Board the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw and cruise to this very popular and beautiful property. Walter Peak High Country Farm, on the western shores of beautiful Lake Wakatipu, provides visitors with the opportunity to relax and experience New Zealand high country life.  Upon arrival at Walter Peak join a farm excursion . Other options include a barbecue lunch, a guided horse trek across the stunning countryside or evening dining in the historic Colonel’s Homestead. Bookings are essential.

6: Trout Fishing
Enjoy some of the best scenery in the world as a backdrop while you fish for salmon, rainbow and brown trout. Our fishing trips are operated by registered fishing guide Stu Dever, who has over 20 years fishing experience. His boat, the "Chinook" is a new 34-foot high-speed purpose built luxury boat and is fully enclosed for all weather. It is fitted with a private electric flush toilet, heaters. "Chinook" is registered under the Marine Safety Authority, and carries a complete range of safety equipment. All fishing equipment is supplied and is of top quality. 8: Walking Exploration
For those wanting to stretch their travel weary legs, this area is a paradise for ramblers and amblers. We recommend you walk through the Government Gardens (town central), the Frankton Arm Track for two hours of easy lakeside walking or the Queenstown Hill Time Walk, a two hour walk that takes you on a journey celebrating the region’s history, passing story panels and sculptures along the way.
