Tamaki Heritage Tours presents a uniquely different cultural show and dinner that will take you on a journey from the past to the present. Trams, old steam trains and historic buildings fill the amazing sets. Based on a true story of real characters and actual events, the re-enactments are mind-blowing! Enjoy the arts, craft, song, dance and the roast dinner banquet, for this is an emotional, unique night that will fill your senses. You will be collected from the hotel at 6pm for a 6.30 show.  | 2: Christchurch Tram Ride
Ride through the city centre in beautifully restored vintage trams, while your tram driver gives an informative commentary. You can leave the tram at any one of the 11 stops, rejoining it later. So jump aboard and enjoy the ride – the entire trip takes about 25 minutes, but with so many things to see and do on the way, it could take all day! A unique way to view the heart of Christchurch City. Cost is $15 and tickets are valid for two days.

There is no other place in the world where it is possible to fly from the centre of the city, in view of the ocean, toward snow-capped mountains. Flying time is approximately 1 hour, however you must allow up to 4 hours for the complete experience, beginning early in the morning (5am summer, 7am winter). This is a real hands-on experience and guests will celebrate the flight with champagne and gift certificate after landing. Sit back and indulge in the tranquility and beauty of the Avon River! Sink into the velvet cushions of your boat as the Edwardian punter gently glides you along the river during your 30 minute tour through your choice of two locations, City or Park. From the Park landing site, pass the trailing willows and leafy banks of the stunning Christchurch Botanic Gardens. The City landing site takes you on a peaceful journey through the central city, gliding beneath weeping willows and alongside historic buildings. Cost is $20 per person and bookings essential.

Welcome Aboard the Christchurch Grand Tour, a great way to see some of Christchurch City’s 'must see' attractions and places of interest. Combining Punting on the Avon, Gondola, Tramways, Cathedral Square and the Cultural Precinct, Mona Vale and the Botanic Gardens into a guided day trip makes visiting Christchurch a breeze!
The driver will take you from the centre city to the beautiful gardens at Mona Vale, an historic Christchurch homestead. You will then be treated to a tranquil punt ride through the Christchurch Botanic Gardens in one of their Edwardian punts. The next stop is the Christchurch Gondola, where you will be amazed by the 360 degree views that unfold as the gondola lifts you to 500 metres above sea level. At the Gondola top station you can visit the Time Tunnel ride, take a stroll on the Port Hills and soak up the magnificent views, before returning to your coach and visiting Lyttleton.
Your next stop is Sumner, the seaside town at the foot of the Port Hills, then head back to the central city to ride on the beautifully restored Christchurch trams. The tram will take you to many points of interest in the city, and you can jump on and off at any time. The Museum, Art Gallery and Art Centre are on the tram circuit, as well as Cathedral Square, the Casino and New Regent Street. Highly recommended.
