You have an ENTIRE day here at Mt Cook and with so much to see and do, you can choose to fill your day with activities or simply relax and soak up the scenery and ambience. Visit the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre, where you have unlimited access to the gallery, museum, theatre and planetarium. You may like to visit the Department of Conservation, located right next door or take a short mountain walk along one of many walking tracks. For the more adventurous, take a scenic helicopter flight or fixed wing plane flight up and over the glaciers and mountains, an awe-inspiring experience that must be pre-booked (extra cost). Or maybe a Glacier Explorer excursion, getting up close and personal with New Zealand's largest glacier, the Tasman Glacier (extra cost, Oct to April only).

You will be provided with an unlimited pass, including entry to the Theatre and Planetarium, the Sir Edmund Gallery and the 3D movie, “Mt Cook Magic” taking you on a thrilling journey to the top of the mountain.  | 2: Helicopter Flights Take a magnificent scenic helicopter flight up and over the Southern Alps, an adventure that will be the highlight of your tour! Highly experienced mountain pilots will provide professional commentary via personal headsets as you get up close and personal with Mt Cook, and a range of flights are available from short 20 minutes flights to 1 hour tours, with or without snow landings.
