Starting and finishing in Auckland, the North Island Circle Tour includes all the highlights and routes of the 6 Day North Island Experience, with an additional 2 days of touring that will take you through the Kapiti Coast and on to Tongariro National Park. This magnificent mountain trio (Mt Tongariro, Mt Ngaruahoe, Mt Ruapehu) will take your breath away, no matter what the season. You will stay at the Bayview Chateau Tongariro, a grand and historic property. We highly recommend a Bay of Islands tour extension before or after this tour if time and budget permit.

	2: AUCKLAND / WAITOMO / ROTORUA Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Auckland, the world’s largest Polynesian city, before travelling south through Ngaruawahia to the magnificent Waitomo Caves. 	3: ROTORUA This morning you will travel out to the Agrodome (the world’s longest running farm show) and visit the Whakarewarewa Maori Village and the Pohutu Geyser. This afternoon is at leisure to relax or to take one of the many optional tours (own cost) available. 	4: ROTORUA / TAUPO / NAPIER / MASTERTON Travel south from Rotorua to Taupo, viewing the Geothermal Power Plant along the way and stopping at the incredible Huka Falls. Stop at Okawa Station in Hawkes Bay (a working sheep station) for an included lunch. 	5: MASTERTON / WELLINGTON Visit Paua World and marvel at this magnificent New Zealand sea shell being turned into beautiful, low cost jewellery. Continue on to the wine centre of Martinborough and the award winning Tirohana Estate. From there head to Wellington - the capital of New Zealand. 	6: WELLINGTON / WAIOURU / OHAKUNE / TONGARIRO NATIONAL PARK Tongariro National Park is 'Middle Earth' as featured in Lord of The Rings! Arrive at Whakapapa which in winter, forms the Ruapehu Ski Fields, New Zealand's largest. 	7: CHATEAU / TURANGI / WAIRAKEI / TIRUA / AUCKLAND Depart Tongariro National Park and travel to Turangi before continuing on to the Wairakei Terraces.
